被遺忘的荔香之境

　　位於高雄旗山區與大樹區之間的嶺口南勝社區，是一個盛產荔枝的小鄉村，山上特別的土壤是由一層土一層沙層層堆疊而成，排水性佳，灌溉的水更是水源保育地的自然泉水；土好水好，種出的荔枝自然就又香又甜。早年政府推行一個鄉鎮一特產政策，位居高雄的旗山選擇了外銷日本賺進大量外匯的香蕉為其特產，漸漸的，人們只記得換回黃金的香蕉，卻遺忘旗山南邊嶺口山上，南勝小農村所產的甜美荔枝，儘管如此，南勝社區一群老農仍默默地守護著上天賜予的好滋味-汁多、肉脆、核小的荔枝。

 　　The Nansheng Community in Lingkou between Qishan District and Dashu District in Kaohsiung is a small village who specializes in growing lychee. The unique soil on the mountain of this small village contains alternating layers of soil and sand, providing good drainage. In addition, the water for irrigation comes from natural springs of water conservation area, and these amazing soil and water grow naturally fragrant and sweet lychee fruit. In the early years when the government implemented the One Town One Specialty policy, Qishan in Kaohsiung chosen bananas as its specialty to export to Japan for foreign exchange earnings. People forgot the sweet lychee grown in the small farming village in Nansheng on the mountain in Lingkou on the south side of Qishan, but only remembered the bananas that brought profits. In spite of this, juicy lychee with crunchy flesh and tiny pit, a delicacy bestowed by nature, are still meticulously cultivated by a group of old farmers in Nansheng Community.
